PENENTUAN ZONASI BANJIR BERDASARKAN PARAMETER KEMIRINGAN LERENG, INFILTRASI TANAH DAN TUTUPAN LAHAN DI AREAL KAMPUS UNIVERSITAS MULAWARMAN SAMARINDA

Mulawarman University is a State University in the town of Samarinda which established of
September 27, 1962. The Campus was devided into several areal of campus, one of which was the main
campus Gunung Kelua by an area of 69,2553 Ha. On the campus weren’t rarely found flood zones that
hamper development and impacted educational activities. To determine flood zonation in the areal of
campus of Mulawarman University Samarinda, the research using the method of mapping overlay has
been done. This research was conducted by directly measuring data to the parameters of causing of flood
such as slope, soil infiltration, rainfall average and land cover. Then the data was processed into thematic
maps to made the classification values of each of the parameters. Further more was conducted by
analysis to determine of the flood zonation. The result of the research showed that flood zonation was
area which flat surface topography condition by slope of 0 – 5 %, soil infiltration 0,5 – 2,5 mm/h, by the
average of high rainfall of 170,308 mm and land cover by an area of building was 27,809 Ha, Vegetation
of 25,134 Ha, road of 12,986 Ha and pools of 2,623 Ha.
